The future belongs to the world of information and technology, and as digital media becomes more widespread, the traditional library is poised for transformation. We envision the library of the future as evolving like a tree, where technology, information, and reading represent the trunk, crown, and leaves. These elements, though distinct, interact in a symbiotic relationship. People will read and learn within the branches of the tree, while sharing and engaging with one another beneath its canopy.
In this design, we propose a new structural model—the tree system. We view the connection between social interaction and reading as both independent and intertwined. Socializing resembles the tree trunk, while reading is like the branches. Though separate, they are interconnected, with the trunk serving as the tree's core, reflecting the vital role of social interaction in modern life.
